Being fascinated by the sound of the drums, Bern (CH) based musician Michael Cina began taking lessons early on in his live. After some experiences made in local rock bands and school ensembles he decided to study at the Jazz department of the Highschool of the Arts (HKB) in Bern, Switzerland. Studying with musicians like Dejan Terzic, Norbert Pfammatter, Julian Sartoius, Django Bates, Colin Vallon, Patrice Moret etc. taught him the versatility of his instrument which he likes to explore in different bands and projects. Trying to develop a very personal approach to sound and silence is the core of his work, no matter in which musical environment he finds himself.
